K’Obryan’s first stage was the ethereal world of broadcast media. Here, in the quiet heart of a radio studio, he found his voice. For years, he was the familiar guide for listeners of NCU FM, not just hosting, but producing and engineering his own program, Light After Dark. His natural gift for connection transcended the airwaves, placing him on actual stages as an emcee for countless local and international events, cementing his reputation as a respected voice in the industry.
But the island felt too small for his growing ambition. Seeking a broader canvas, K’Obryan embarked on a journey to the United States. In Florida, he traded the studio mic for the reporter’s notebook, contracting with a local news network. He dove into the fast-paced world of journalism, covering everything from star-studded concerts to major political movements in Orlando. This exposure to international news was his proving ground, hardening his skills and solidifying his identity as a truly versatile communicator.
The year 2021 marked his return home to Jamaica, bringing with him a sharpened focus and a new curiosity. His attention turned from the news desk to the blueprint, as he ventured into the robust world of construction and real estate. At Moorland Development Company, K’Obryan didn’t just manage clients; he wove his media expertise into the business fabric, handling public relations, digital content, and marketing strategies. It was here that he uncovered a genuine passion for interior design and décor.
Though he briefly served as a Communication Manager for a prominent non-profit, the call of independence was too strong. K’Obryan soon embraced the entrepreneurial life, transitioning to full-time self-employment as a Project Manager.
Today, K’Obryan commands projects and properties across the bustling western region of Jamaica. He is the maestro conducting a complex orchestra, leveraging his diverse experience to guide real estate development from the ground up, manage intricate construction schedules, and finalize the aesthetic vision through his knowledge of interior design.
